Are you ready for the Wild, Wild West? We’re headed to
the Wind River Reservation in Wyoming. Located on the eastern
side of Wyoming’s Wind River Mountains, southeast of the Yellowstone
and Grand Teton National Parks. It is home to the Shoshone and
Arapaho tribes and famous as the resting place of
Sacajawea. 28% of the children live below poverty
level, 8.2% of homes are heated by wood or coal alone (no gas or
electric heat. ) We have the opportunity to open our eyes as we serve
side by side with a kind and resilient people.
Sign up now and add some spirit to your summer! Space is
limited!
Why serve on a Mission Trip?
When you are baptized into the Catholic Faith, your parents promise to
commit to building up the world of God. Mission trips are a great
way to serve others and have fun doing it. Each of us are called
in our own way to reach out to others and use our gifts. This is
a chance to become guests of another culture and to respond to their
hospitality with kindness.
Cost
Total cost is approximately $530 per person which includes camp fee,
transportation, and lodging. Meals on the road and any entertainment or
souvenirs would be additional. We require a $130 deposit (nonrefundable
after December). We will ask for four additional monthly payments of
$100. Please understand we have to pay the camp up-front and cannot
return payments. However, trip cost will be reduced
according to amounts raised during our fundraising activities. We have
been pretty successful and supported by the community in our efforts to
reduce costs through fundraising. Fundraising is a requirement of
this mission trip. Parents are requested to help on the
fundraising team.
Who Can Go?
Senior High teens Grades 9-12 and we need a core team of
adults.
