![]() Masses of Anointing of the SickThe Church teaches that the Anointing of the Sick is a
community Sacrament. The Catechism of the Catholic
Church states
that when people are anointed they should be "assisted by
their pastor
and the whole ecclesial community, which is invited to
surround the
sick in a special way through their prayers and fraternal
attention."
(#1516). The Sacrament graces the whole person-body,
mind, and
spirit. The Anointing of the Sick is celebrated three times
during the
year: fall, winter, and spring. Check the
bulletin for
current dates. If the sick person is unable to come
to church,
contact Tim
Lawrence.
