![]() St. Joseph Parish FestivalAugust 9 and 10, 2008What is the parish festival? This annual parish
festival and community event has evolved over the years, starting with
our first chicken dinner, which was held in 1908. This
event
is our single most prominent fund-raiser for the parish. The
festival
is always the second Sunday of August, with a pre-festival Saturday
outdoor
Mass and dance.
What is the goal of the parish festival? To bring family, friends and community together in a very social and festive environment. By working together as a parish family we are able to generate the funds needed to help support our physical environment and many spiritual programs that are offered throughout the year. What type of activities are at the festival? Both Saturday and
Sunday
have events and activities for all ages. Saturday features
an outdoor Mass and dance 5:00-10:00 pm. Returning this year is
Alpensterne who will
play this year's dance. The German folk dancers from S. G.
Edelweiss are also scheduled to appear.
What can I win in the raffle? Prizes for 2008 include:
