1908-2011

August 13 and 14, 2011


All Are Welcome at the Festival!

The St. Joe's Summer Festival is a time for parishioners, their families and friends, and the entire community to come together and celebrate.  We welcome all people and all age groups into our midst to share our love and faith in God.

Saturday, August 13  5:00 pm – 10:30 pmDance 2008
Outdoor Mass, Live Band, Dance, Pig Roast
This year’s Festival begins with an Outdoor Mass on Saturday at 5:00 p.m. under the big tent.  Immediately following Mass will be a live band dance to the music of Metro Jam, one of the most popular bands in the Twin Cities well known for their high energy and top notch musicianship.  Saturday night will also feature a Pig Roast, Tacos and lots more food; beer, wine and sodas; the annual hula hoop contest, pull tabs, games and more.  And, to top off the evening, our very own Fireworks Show begins at 10:00 pm.

Chicken Dinner, Games, Bingo, Silent Auction, Live Music, & Much More!
Our Famous Chicken Dinner with potatoes, gravy, dressing and all the trimmings will again be available in the Social Hall.  Tickets at the door are $9 for adults, $4 for children, 4 and under are free. Buy adult tickets before the festival and save $1.  Outside under the big tent enjoy the music of The Squires, a German band that plays a wide variety of songs sure to please everyone.  The S.G. Edelweiss Dancers will entertain us with traditional German and Austrian folkdances.  Check out the Silent Auction which has many exciting offerings or try you luck in the Bingo Tent – where every game has a winner!  Additional outdoor activities include the Wine Toss, Confetti Bowl, Cake Walk, Water Balloons and Games for all ages, Refreshments and Lots More Food!

Grand RaffleGrand Prize

The Grand Raffle is one of the most popular features of the Festival.  The Grand Prize this year is a John Deere Gator CX, the perfect utility vehicle for the backyard or around the cabin.  Additional prizes include $7,000 in cash, Vikings and Twins tickets and many more items.  Total prize value exceeds $20,000!  Tickets are $5.00 – an outstanding value!  Raffle tickets are available after most weekend Masses and in the Parish office.

Silent Auction – Donations Needed!
The Silent Auction is looking for new donated items with values of $20 and up. Single items are always welcome, cash for purchasing items or be creative and put together a theme basket. Need an idea?  Watch the weekly bulletin for great ideas for single items and for gift baskets. Items may be dropped off by the suggestion tree or in the Parish Office during office hours. Remember to donate early so your item is included in the pre-auction catalogue.  


Volunteers Neededfestival tent
Many volunteers are needed to make our Festival a success.  How to get involved – Sell Raffle Tickets, Bake a Cake for the Cake Walk, Bake a Pie for the Chicken Dinner, Help Setup and Takedown Tents and Booths, Work a shift on Festival Weekend.  Signup for Festival Weekend Shifts after Masses in July or by email or contacting the Festival Volunteer Coordinator – Eileen Couture at 651-786-2587.
