Council of Catholic Women
The St. Joseph’s Council of
Catholic Women acts through its members to support
empower and educate all Catholic women in spirituality,
leadership and service.
CCW programs respond with Gospel values to the
needs of the Church and society in the modern world as
well as provide an opportunity for Christian fellowship.

Meetings:
We
meet on the second Tuesday of each month at 7:00 pm
September through May. All women parishioners of St.
Joseph of the Lakes are considered members.
You are welcome at any meeting whether it is once a year
or every month.
Purpose:
The
council of Catholic Women has many ministries and welcomes
helping hands in all areas.
Key Initiatives:

Christmas
Bazaar – November 12 & 13, 2011. We
welcome help making candy and crafts, setting up and
managing table rentals, and helping in the
kitchen. Profits go to fund funeral lunches,
Community Caring for Life (see below), for special
needs of the Parish as well as CCW expenses

Funeral
Ministry – We welcome people to donate cakes or bars
and to help prepare food, serve, and clean up.
We currently have three teams sharing the
responsibility of serving funeral lunches.

Community
Caring for Life
-
Our
pro-life group supports the Lakes LifeCare
Center. (www.lakeslifecarecenter.org)
in Forest Lake and the Women’s Life Care Center in
Little Canada by recycling aluminum cans, donating
baby quilts, sheets, formula and all baby items,
sponsoring a Baby Shower each January, and helping
with the infant interment cemetery (within our
cemetery). We also provide the casket for
pre-born (miscarriage) infants and stillborn (full
term) infants at no cost to the family.
